Composition of the Committee Members

The Committee consists of 11 members’ as stipulated by Section 89 of the CPA as follows: 

1. The Principal Secretary in the Ministry for the time being responsible for matters relating to trade and industry;
2. The Attorney-General; 
3. Four persons nominated by accredited consumer organizations
4. One person nominated by the Kenya Bureau of Standards;
5. One person nominated by the Kenya Medical Association;
6. One person nominated by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers;
7. One person with experience in banking, accounting, economics or insurance matters; and
8. One person nominated by the Law Society of Kenya.
